PDF Bench collects nothing.
Last updated: 2 September 2026
The short version
PDF Bench collects nothing. It has no account, no sign-up, no servers, and no cloud. Every document you open, every edit and every signature is stored only on your device. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you open or create in PDF Bench ever leaves your phone.
Who runs PDF Bench
PDF Bench is built and operated by
Ekarche Private Limited (CIN
U58200UW2026PTC253262), Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, India.
This policy covers the PDF Bench mobile app for iOS and Android and
this website, pdfbench.ekarche.com.
What data the app collects
None that leaves your device. PDF Bench is a local-only app. The documents you open, the annotations and signatures you add, and the list of recent files are saved in private storage on your phone and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. We have no way to see them, because there is no server for them to be sent to.
- No account. You never create a login, and we never ask for your name, email, or phone number.
- No cloud. Your files are not backed up to us or synced across devices.
- No analytics or tracking. PDF Bench contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party trackers.
- No advertising. There are no ads in PDF Bench, so there is no ad-targeting data.
On-device text recognition (OCR)
When you scan paper or search inside a scan, PDF Bench recognises the text using a model that runs entirely on your device. The pages and the recognised text stay on your phone — no image and no text is uploaded for processing.
Permissions the app asks for, and why
PDF Bench only requests what a given task needs, and uses each permission entirely on-device:
- Camera. Only when you choose to scan a document. The captured pages are turned into a PDF on your device and are never uploaded.
- Files you pick. So you can open a PDF you choose and save the result back where you want it. PDF Bench only ever touches the files you select.
PDF Bench does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone, or your photo library, and the app has no general network access.
Where your data lives, and how to delete it
All PDF Bench data lives in the app's storage on your device. To remove a document, delete it in the app or in your device's file manager. To delete everything PDF Bench holds, uninstall the app. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side and no request to send us.
Purchases
PDF Bench is a paid app. When you buy it, the payment is handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their own terms and privacy policies. We never see your card details or billing information — the stores tell us only that a purchase was made, not who made it.
Children
PDF Bench is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects no personal data at all, it does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Laws such as the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), the GDPR (European Economic Area), and the CCPA (California) give you rights over personal data a company holds about you — to access it, correct it, or delete it. PDF Bench holds no personal data about you, so in practice there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, or erase. If you have a question, write to hello@ekarche.com and we will respond within thirty days.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of PDF Bench ever changes what it collects, we will update this page and the date at the top before that version ships, and describe the change plainly.
